My co-worker had a small bbq/party last night to celebrate her husband finding another job. He got laid off in February after working for 18 years at the Four Seasons Hotel. I taught him how to use the compute and how to send out his resumes electronically. He learned quickly and finally found another job this week. They are a great family and my co-worker said a nice little speech thanking everyone individually for how they helped their family through this hard time.
We watched the Niagara Falls tightrope walk, had a great time talking to friends and finally got home around 2 in the morning.
My friend is a great example of how teen moms can be amazing mothers and still have a good life. She was 18 and 21 when she had her first two kids. She went to school at night and her husband worked two jobs and saved up money until they could afford to put a down payment on a house. They live simply but have a gorgeous home which they always open up to friends for get togethers, they have a 23 year old, a 20 year old playing basketball in the states and a 6 year old (which wasn’t planned) lol. I just love them.
Its a Red Light District theme party and i’m trying to figure out what to wear! I have a cute babydoll that is appropriate to wear out in public. But i don’t know what to wear with it. I need to get off my lazy butt, do the dishes and go out and find something to wear tonight!
3 days till Christmas and I don’t really have that much more to do.
It’s amazing how relaxing it is, when you don’t have money/ therefore no presents to wrap. Tomorrow night i’m going with to my mom’s place to bake my brownies for Christmas and then i’ll be officially ready for Christmas.
Christmas eve will be busy, i have somehow managed to find myself having to go to the Husband’s family’s house for Christmas Eve during the day, and then getting back to my parent’s house for my birthday party at 8pm. Then it’s yummy yummy Portuguese food, and all you can eat Shrimp and Crab until me and my brother have an allergy attack lol. Then at midnight we get to open up our gifts. I know i’m not getting much this year, just money from the parents and not much else but i’m excited anyways for the food, and fun family times!
